Platform Engineer
Joined as an intern and grew into the platform engineering role. I work across the entire platform, a microservices-based MES for pharmaceutical manufacturing, from architecture and development to infrastructure, deployment and security, for both cloud and on-premise client installations.
- Architecture: Drive the overall architecture of the platform: service boundaries, messaging and communication patterns, shared libraries and conventions across backend, frontend and infrastructure.
- Architecture: Led the migration of core services to clean architecture, standardizing project layout, API contracts, generated clients and test structure.
- Backend & Frontend: Design and develop ASP.NET Core microservices on PostgreSQL, MongoDB and RabbitMQ, including the audit trail and data history features required in regulated manufacturing.
- Backend & Frontend: Contribute to the Angular frontend, an Nx monorepo built with NgRx and PrimeNG.
- Platform Services & IAM: Provision and maintain the platform's external services (Keycloak for IAM, Metabase for analytics, jsreport for reporting) as versioned, containerized components.
- Platform Services & IAM: Built a Terraform- and Python-based CLI that configures Keycloak realms, clients, roles and authentication flows as code, consistently across every environment.
- Delivery & Security: Maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps and the Ansible/Terraform-based deployment process.
- Delivery & Security: Manage the Azure environment and VMs, as well as on-premise installations at client sites, including their security.
- IIoT: Integrate shop-floor devices, such as sensors and RFID readers, with the platform.
